Henry J. Wingert, 88, residing at 1225 Seventeenth street died at 8:45 yesterday morning at Dunn Memorial Hospital where he was admitted only 3 hours before. He had been in failing health for some time and his final illness was of two weeks duration.  Mr. Wingert was born to Christopher C. and Sarah Ayers Wingert on June 25, 1860 near Richmond, Virginia.  He was married twice, the first marriage being to Cora Miller in 1885 at Ladoga, Ind, who preceded him in death. The second marriage was to Euseba A. Martin at Covington, Indiana in 1905 who survives.  Mr. Wingert spent his entire life as a shoe salesman and repair man.  He worked for companies in Chicago, Ill and Seattle and Spokane, Washington.  He came to Bedford 33 years ago and started a shoe repair business, retiring recently.  Wingert was a member of the First Methodist Church in Bedford and a former member of the K of P Lodge here.  A daughter, Mary Elizabeth preceded him in death at the age of 15 years.  Funeral services will be held at his residence tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ezra Hutchens officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington, Indiana. The body will lie in state at the residence late this afternoon.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Sherwood and Ferguson Funeral Home. - kbz
